Sally Perkins

Sally Perkins has been working in the field of storytelling and communication for over 25 years. In 2020, they began working as an Insight Storyteller for Authenticx. From 2005 to the present, they have been working as a Storytelling Expert and Story Performer. Prior to this, they worked as a Public Speaking Professor at Butler University from 2004 to 2005, and as a Professor of Communication at California State University, Sacramento from 1991 to 2004. In their role as a Professor of Communication, they taught courses in public speaking, rhetorical criticism & theory, and instructional communication and conducted research in rhetorical criticism and instructional communication. Additionally, they co-directed a peer coaching program to help teachers improve their skills in the classroom.

Sally Perkins earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from The University of Kansas in 1991. Sally had previously earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from The University of Kansas in 1988.
