Stephen Cobb

Stephen Cobb has a diverse work experience in the analytical chemistry field. Stephen started their career at Southwest Research Institute in 1996 as an Analyst/GC Operator, conducting analysis, troubleshooting, maintenance, and method development. Stephen was later promoted to Lead Chemist, where they improved shift operations and conducted troubleshooting and method development. Stephen then became the Analytical Laboratory Department Manager, responsible for starting up and operating an analytical laboratory. In 2010, they took on the role of Laboratory Closure Manager, developing systems and procedures for RCRA closure sampling and analysis. Stephen was then promoted to Laboratory Manager, overseeing various operational activities and managing a staff of 110 employees. In 2012, Stephen took on a role as an Experienced Laboratory Project Manager at Actively Seeking New Opportunities before joining Authentix in 2013. At Authentix, they held multiple roles, including Field Engineer, Manager, Sr. Manager, and currently, Director of the Analytical Lab.

Stephen Cobb completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology from Texas A&M University-Commerce from 1987 to 1993. Stephen then went on to earn a Master of Science degree in Chemistry from the same university, which they completed from 1993 to 1995.
