Rakesh Roopavataram

Rakesh Roopavataram is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the software development and visual effects industry. Currently serving as a Principal Software Developer at Autodesk since October 2022, Rakesh also holds the position of Writer & Director at Rak Avatar Films since April 2017. Previous roles include Senior R&D Engineer at Industrial Light & Magic from May 2014 to October 2024, and Senior Real-time Tech Art Engineer at ILMxLAB for a brief period in 2022. Rakesh has also contributed as a Senior Lighting Technical Director at Framestore, Shader Writer at Animal Logic, and held various technical roles at Dr. D Studios, Prana Studios, and Tata Elxsi.
