Jian-Guo Chai

Jian-Guo Chai is a Principal Scientist at Autolus Ltd. since September 2021, previously serving as a Consultant Clinical Scientist at Oxford Biomedica in 2021 and as Principal Scientist at Quell Therapeutics from July 2019 to April 2021. With substantial experience in T-cell therapy and immunology, Jian-Guo held the position of Principal Scientist II at Adaptimmune US from July 2016 to July 2019, where innovative cellular therapies were developed. Prior roles include Senior Research Scientist at the University of Oxford from 2014 to 2016 and Senior Research Fellow at King’s College London from January 2013 to July 2014. Jian-Guo's extensive academic background includes leading research at Imperial College London from 1995 to 2012, following a PhD from The University of Tokushima, Japan. The educational foundation also includes an MSc from the Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine and an MD from Taishan Medical University.
