Zach Buran has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. In their current position as a Senior Engineer at Automation Intelligence, they are responsible for developing rapid prototypes and digital twins, creating proprietary catalogs of Emulate3D objects, and taking a technical lead for projects. Prior to this, they worked at The Haskell Company as a Design Engineer, where they contributed to design projects as both Design Engineer II and Design Engineer I. At DHL eCommerce, they served as a Performance Engineer, focusing on route optimization, enhancing the final mile platform, and improving efficiencies. As an Industrial Engineering Consultant at O.R. Consulting, they created simulations to optimize pedestrian flow in various public spaces, conducted in-depth analysis, and implemented tools to maximize visitor capacity. Zach also has experience as a Percussion Instructor at Jackson County Comprehensive High School, where they mentored and instructed the drumline of the award-winning high school band.

Zach Buran obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Zach attended the university from 2014 to 2018. In addition to their degree, Zach has obtained two certifications. In July 2016, they received the AnyLogic Software Training Certification from The AnyLogic Company. Later, in May 2020, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certification from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
