Beau Lebens

Beau Lebens is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in engineering and product management. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at WooCommerce since May 2019, Lebens manages over 200 engineers and oversees various products and services within the WooCommerce product space. In addition to this role, Lebens has been a mentor at Techstars Anywhere since February 2019, guiding portfolio companies in building and scaling remote engineering teams. Previously, Lebens held multiple positions at Automattic, including Engineering Manager and Software Engineer, and was the General Manager of Jetpack at Automattic from 2015 to 2019, leading a team of up to 50 developers. With a background as a co-founder and CTO of MyBabyOurBaby.com and experience in various roles within internet development and consulting, Lebens has a strong foundation in both technical and managerial aspects of technology. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Internet Studies from Curtin University, completed in 2005.
