Cedric Messier

Head Of Waste, Decommissioning, Research And Fuel Cycle Facilities Department at Autorité de sûreté nucléaire (ASN)

Cedric Messier currently serves as the Head of the Waste, Decommissioning, Research and Fuel Cycle Facilities Department at the Autorité de sûreté nucléaire (ASN) since September 2021. Prior to this role, Cedric held several key positions at the Ministère de la Transition écologique et solidaire, including Head of the Air Quality Unit and Head of the Passenger Vehicles Unit from July 2015 to August 2021. Cedric's experience also includes serving as Deputy Head of Division at the General Secretariat for European Affairs (SGAE) from July 2013 to July 2015, and as a Policy Officer for "REACH" at the Ministry of Environment, Energy and Sea from May 2010 to September 2012. Earlier in Cedric's career, significant roles included Senior Nuclear Safety Engineer and Nuclear Safety Engineer at the French Nuclear Safety Authority in Strasbourg from February 2003 to May 2010, focusing on PWR and dismantling issues. Cedric's educational background includes a degree from Mines Paris - PSL, a degree in Génie Atomique from INSTN, and a Diplôme d'ingénieur from ENSIC.
