Guillaume Carbajal

Guillaume Carbajal is a ML Scientist at Ava. Guillaume previously worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Audio-Visual Speech Enhancement at Universität Hamburg from April 2020 to November 2021. Before that, they were an Industrial PhD student in Speech Enhancement at Inria from March 2017 to March 2020, where they developed a joint DNN-based approach for the reduction of acoustic echo, reverberation and noise. Guillaume also created a 30-h dataset of real recordings of conversational speech with a smart speaker in noisy and reverberant environments. From July 2016 to January 2017, they worked as a Researcher in Speech Recognition at RWTH Aachen University. Prior to that, they were a Data Analyst at Quinten from March 2015 to August 2015 and a Private Equity Analyst at BlackFin Capital Partners from September 2014 to February 2015.

Guillaume Carbajal has a PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Universite de Lorraine, a Master's in Data Science from the Université Paris-Saclay, and a Bachelor's in Mathematics, Physics and Mechanics from the Lycée Marcelin Berthelot (94).
