Ruairidh Edwards

Ruairidh Edwards has a diverse work experience. From 2011 to 2016, they worked as a Lifeguard at Bellrock Property & Facilities Management. In 2022, they started working at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine as a Postdoctoral Fellow, where they led a project investigating epigenetic modifications in mitochondrial disease mouse and cell models. Ruairidh utilized the single-cell multiomics platform from 10x Genomics for this research. In the same year, they also joined Avacta as a Senior Scientist, and later became a Principal Scientist in 2024. The exact end dates for their roles at Avacta are not provided.

Ruairidh Edwards completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Molecular Biology at the University of Dundee from 2011 to 2015. Ruairidh then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) in Cancer Sciences at the University of Glasgow from 2015 to 2016. Following this, Ruairidh Edwards obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Glasgow between 2016 and 2020.
