Shannon Norman, MBA, SHRM-SCP, PCC

Shannon Norman, MBA, SHRM-SCP, PCC, has a diverse range of work experience in human resources and coaching. Starting in 2000, Shannon worked as a Personnel Officer for the Missouri Veterans Commission, where they established and managed the HR department for a new skilled nursing care center. Shannon was responsible for recruiting and onboarding staff members.

In 2003, Shannon moved on to become a Benefit Specialist at the University of Missouri Hospital. Here, they provided guidance on employee benefits and managed benefit enrollments and changes. Shannon also gained proficiency in HR administration programs.

In 2004, Shannon took on the role of HR Business Partner and HR Representative at AEP River Operations. Shannon led the HR team and implemented strategic HR policies and initiatives across multiple locations. Shannon also focused on recruiting, coaching, and training leaders to enhance organizational effectiveness.

Shannon continued their career growth, working as a Graduate Assistant in the Career Services Department at Southeast Missouri State University. Shannon assisted in planning and administering career and employee assistance programs for students.

Returning to the corporate world, Shannon joined Drury Development Corporation as a Human Resources Manager in 2019. Shannon gained executive support for employee engagement surveys, updated the team member handbook, and planned the implementation of online training systems.

In the same year, Shannon also became a Director/Senior Manager of Human Resources at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital. Shannon served as the top HR leader on the Executive Leadership Team, overseeing talent management and partnering with leaders for growth opportunities.

During their time at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, Shannon held two roles. Shannon first served as a Manager of Human Resources, leading a team of HR Business Partners and Coordinators. Shannon later transitioned to an HR Business Partner role, where they provided HR support across various departments and functions.

In 2022, Shannon joined EyeCare Partners as a Regional HR Director. Shannon'sresponsibilities included providing HR strategy and execution support to senior leaders, leading efforts around executive coaching and talent development, as well as providing consultation and support to executives, managers, and employees.

Currently, Shannon is working as a Sr. Director, People Business Partner at Avadel Pharmaceuticals plc, starting in 2023.

Throughout their career, Shannon has also been involved in coaching and consulting through their own company, Shannon Norman Coaching & Consulting, LLC. Shannon specializes in helping women and executive leaders improve self-esteem, performance, retention, and inclusion of women in leadership roles.

Shannon Norman, MBA, SHRM-SCP, PCC, has a strong education background in both business administration and coaching. In 2000, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from William Woods University. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at Southeast Missouri State University - Harrison College of Business and Computing, which they completed in 2006.

In 2019, Shannon enrolled in the International Coach Academy, where they obtained the Certified Professional Coach (CPC) designation in 2020. Additionally, they completed the Accredited Coach Training Program through the same institution in March 2020. Shannon's commitment to professional development continued as they obtained the Professional Certified Coach (PCC) certification from the International Coaching Federation in May 2022. Shannon has also achieved the Associate Certified Coach (ACC) certification from the International Coaching Federation.
