Shannon Norman, MBA, SHRM-SCP, PCC, has a diverse range of work experience in human resources and coaching. Starting in 2000, Shannon worked as a Personnel Officer for the Missouri Veterans Commission, where they established and managed the HR department for a new skilled nursing care center. Shannon was responsible for recruiting and onboarding staff members.
In 2003, Shannon moved on to become a Benefit Specialist at the University of Missouri Hospital. Here, they provided guidance on employee benefits and managed benefit enrollments and changes. Shannon also gained proficiency in HR administration programs.
In 2004, Shannon took on the role of HR Business Partner and HR Representative at AEP River Operations. Shannon led the HR team and implemented strategic HR policies and initiatives across multiple locations. Shannon also focused on recruiting, coaching, and training leaders to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Shannon continued their career growth, working as a Graduate Assistant in the Career Services Department at Southeast Missouri State University. Shannon assisted in planning and administering career and employee assistance programs for students.

Currently, Shannon is working as a Sr. Director, People Business Partner at Avadel Pharmaceuticals plc, starting in 2023.
Throughout their career, Shannon has also been involved in coaching and consulting through their own company, Shannon Norman Coaching & Consulting, LLC. Shannon specializes in helping women and executive leaders improve self-esteem, performance, retention, and inclusion of women in leadership roles.
