Ingimar Jonsson

Director Powerplants at AvAir

Ingimar Jonsson has a work experience spanning over several years in the aviation industry. Ingimar started their career as a Mechanic at Rio Tinto Alcan in 2002, where they worked until 2006. In 2009, they joined Icelandair as a Powerplant Engineer and worked there until 2011. After that, they joined Air Atlanta Icelandic, where they initially served as a Powerplant Engineer from 2011 to 2016. Later on, they were promoted to the role of Director Powerplants and held that position until 2020. Currently, they are working as the Director Powerplants at AvAir.

Ingimar Jonsson completed a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Iceland from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Reykjavik University from 2006 to 2009. Ingimar also attended the Technical College of Hafnarfjordur from 2003 to 2005, where they studied Industrial Mechanics.
