Tyrone Travis

Tyrone Travis is a seasoned cybersecurity professional with extensive experience in security engineering and operations. Currently serving as a Senior Product Security Engineer at Avalara, Tyrone has successfully decreased false positive rates in threat detection by 21% annually and established a comprehensive Security Operations Center (SOC) program for proactive threat management. Prior to Avalara, Tyrone held roles at CI Security, where significant automation of SOC workflows was developed, and at TCS Consultants, where critical vulnerabilities in applications were addressed through thorough security reviews. Tyrone's career also includes ownership and management of NW Oil Burners, focusing on biodiesel production equipment, as well as previous positions in metal fabrication and welding.
