Pete Cruz

Pete Cruz is the current Director of Information Technology at Avalon Flooring. Pete has over 25 years of experience in the IT field, including positions as Senior Software Programmer/Analyst and Director of Information Technology.

Cruz began their career in 1984 as a Software Programmer/Analyst at Lenox China. Pete then moved to Sands Hotel and Casino in 1989, where they worked their way up to Senior Software Programmer/Analyst. In 2001, they were promoted to Director of Information Technology - Special Projects, and was responsible for custom software development by request of In-House departments, as well as the implementation of new employee electronic badging, time and attendance, and wireless technologies.

In 2003, Cruz left Sands Hotel and Casino to take on the role of Director of Information Technology at Mediq/PRN. In this position, they were responsible for all custom software development supporting a corporate environment and all 100+ country wide branches. Pete's staff included 3 Help Desk associates, 2 PC Support/Repair technicians, 1 IBM AS400 Administrator/Engineer, and 5 Software Programmer/Analysts.

Cruz has been with Avalon Flooring since 2013 and has been instrumental in leading the company's transition to new Cisco infrastructure equipment and Cat5e cabling. Pete has also overseen the implementation of a new customer relationship management (CRM) system and a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.

Pete Cruz has a certification in Information Technology from the Taylor Business Institute -Technical Trade.
