Reece Bailey

Reece Bailey has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Reece began their career as a Writing/ Marketing Assistant at Yelp.com in 2009. Reece then moved on to Credit Suisse in 2011, where they worked in IT Application Support, specializing in the 3rd party application Openlink Endur. In 2014, Reece joined Avaloq as a Strategic Application Support specialist, focusing on system engineering and application management. Reece later transitioned into a Solution Architect role, responsible for overseeing projects in public cloud, particularly AWS. Currently, Reece holds the position of Senior Principal System Engineer at Avaloq, where they are leading a team and driving the multi-cloud concept across platforms such as GCP, Azure, and OCI. Their responsibilities also include mentoring colleagues and translating business needs into actionable work.

Reece Bailey attended the University of Sussex from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained a 2-1 degree in Film. Prior to that, Reece attended Maidstone Grammar School from 2000 to 2007. In terms of additional certifications, Reece obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) certification from Amazon Web Services in November 2017. They also obtained the Speexx German CEFR Level B1.1 certification from Speexx, and are currently working towards completing the Python Bootcamp - 100 days of code from Udemy, with an expected completion year of 2022.
