Hisanori Maei

Nori Maei was appointed Vice President of Business Planning and Alliance Management in March of 2015. He is responsible for all aspects of the Otsuka Pharmaceutical/Avanir Pharmaceuticals alliance and is also in charge of planning international aspects of our business.

Nori has 17 years of international experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining Avanir Pharmaceuticals, he held the role of Senior Director of Business Planning and Execution for Otsuka Pharmaceutical Europe Ltd. Before that, he served in marketing leadership roles at both Otsuka Japan and Otsuka America. He started his career in the pharmaceutical industry as a medical representative for Otsuka in Tokyo.
