Alexandre Pinto has held various roles in the technology field since 1998. Alexandre began their career as an intern at INESC Porto, followed by a Software Analyst role at Novabase Porto. In 2000, they moved to ParadigmaXIS as a Software Engineer. From 2008 to 2012, they worked at ISMAI, Maia Institute of Higher Education as a Degree Programme Director of BSc in Information Systems and Software, Degree Programme Director of BSc in Computer Science for Business Management, and Lecturer. In 2012, they joined Royal Holloway, University of London as a Research Assistant. In 2014, they were hired as a Software Engineer at Sophos. In 2015, they moved to Fidessa as a Senior Developer. In 2018, they joined Artos Systems as a Systems Engineering Manager, Lead Research Engineer, and Software Engineer for Blockchain development for the Aventus Protocol Foundation. Currently, they are an Engineering Manager at Aventus Network.

Alexandre Pinto obtained a Licentiate degree in Computer Software Engineering from the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto between 1994 and 1999. Alexandre then attended the DCC-FCUP between 2003 and 2008, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science. In 2016, they obtained a Machine Learning certification from the Coursera Course Certificates. Alexandre also attended the Universidade do Porto, though no degree or field of study was specified.
