Michael Malia

Michael Malia, PhD has a diverse work experience in scientific communications and medical affairs. Their most recent role is with AVEO Oncology as the Director of Scientific Communications, a position they have held since June 2022. Prior to this, they founded their own company, M. Malia Communications, LLC, where they served as Principal since February 2019. From September 2020 to June 2022, they worked at Y-mAbs Therapeutics, Inc. as the Scientific Communications Director. Michael has also held positions at CTI BioPharma, Celgene, Complete Publication Solutions, MedErgy Marketing, and The Bode Technology Group, where they gained experience in medical affairs and scientific research.

Michael Malia, PhD, completed their education in the field of biology. Michael obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from the University of Delaware, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Following this, they pursued a Ph.D. at The George Washington University from 1999 to 2003, specializing in Biology. In addition to their academic achievements, Michael Malia has obtained the certification of Certified Medical Publication Professional™ from the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals (ISMPP) in October 2020.
