Syd Graeme

Syd Graeme has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Currently, they are working as a Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst (Shift Lead) at Avertium, where they handle multiple SIEMs and EDRs to analyze security events and provide client support. They have also earned LRSA certification and are a member of the MDR team.

Prior to Avertium, Syd worked at Secureworks as a Sr. Cybersecurity Analyst. Here, they provided security analysis and enrichment for network and endpoint related threats. They worked closely with clients for event tuning and general support, utilizing EDRs such as Red Cloak, Carbon Black, and Crowdstrike Falcon. During their time at Secureworks, Syd earned three certifications: GCFA, eCIR, and eJPT.

Syd also gained experience as a SOC Training Analyst Intern at Turner (Turner Broadcasting System, Inc) and as a Global Mainframe Security Associate at Equifax.

Syd Graeme completed their high school education at Cambridge High School from 2013 to 2016, earning a High School Diploma in General Studies. Following this, Syd attended Gwinnett Technical College from 2017 to 2020, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Cybersecurity. Syd has also acquired several additional certifications, including the LogRhythm Security Analyst (LRSA) from LogRhythm in February 2022, the eCIR from eLearnSecurity in January 2021, the eJPT from eLearnSecurity in September 2020, and the GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) from GIAC Certifications in October 2021.
