Amrita Abhilash

Amrita Abhilash has had a varied work experience over the years. Amrita started in 2005 as a Part-time Sales Associate for Gap Inc./Gap and KOOKAI. In 2007, they became a Research Associate at the University of Westminster. In 2009, they joined PolyTherics Limited, An Abzena Company as a Research Scientist as part of the ORBIS internship scheme. In 2016, they became a Research Assistant at Freeline Therapeutics Limited, where they designed and optimised transfection methods for protein expression, optimised methods for establishing stable cell lines expressing high levels of recombinant proteins, designed and optimised bioanalytical assays, assisted production of AAV vectors, assisted purification of proteins, communicated research data, transformed the method of project-related data storage and organisation, redesigned project-related SOP and protocol templates, and evaluated demo instruments. In 2022, they joined AviadoBio as a Senior Research Associate.

Amrita Abhilash completed their Bachelor of Science (BSc(Hons)) in Biotechnology from the University of Westminster between 2004 and 2007. Amrita then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Molecular Medicine from UCL between 2008 and 2009.
