Mary-Ann Alig

Mary-Ann Alig is an experienced outdoor education professional with a background in recreation management and fine arts. Currently serving as a Whitewater Instructor at Avid4 Adventure since April 2019, Mary-Ann has held various roles in outdoor and recreational programming, including events assistant at Northwest Outward Bound School and freelance writer focusing on outdoor recreation's psychological benefits. Previous positions include teaching at Apple Afterschool, instructing at REI's Outdoor School, and directing summer camps, showcasing skills in program development, group leadership, and educational programming. Mary-Ann holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Management from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse and an Associate of Arts in Fine/Studio Arts from Cabrillo College.
