Cecilia Hurtado

Cecilia Hurtado began their work experience as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles in 2005. Cecilia then joined the Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute in 2009, where they worked as both a Postdoctoral Fellow and a Staff Scientist until 2016. From 2016 to 2018, Cecilia served as an Instructor at Stanford University. Cecilia then became a Staff Scientist at Sanford Burnham Prebys in 2018 and worked there until 2021. Cecilia is currently employed at Avidity Biosciences, Inc. as a Scientist II since 2021 and has recently been promoted to the role of Senior Scientist in January 2023.

Cecilia Hurtado's education history includes studying at the Universidad Nacional de La Plata from 1991 to 1996, where they focused on the field of Biology. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cardiac Physiology from the University of Manitoba, starting in 1997 and completing it in 2004.
