Ruben Lassau-Strauven's work experience begins with their current role at AVIOBOOK as an Integration Developer, which they started in October 2020. Prior to this, they worked at KBC Bank & Verzekering, starting as a Junior Java Developer in September 2018 and later transitioning to a Java Software Developer role. At KBC, they provided assistance and coaching to ex-mainframe programmers and implemented Cloud-Native Java best practices. Before joining KBC, Ruben had a Junior Java Developer role at Trase NV from August 2018 until October 2020. Additionally, they completed an internship at Trase NV, where they developed a cloud storage platform utilizing a private Hyperledger Fabric blockchain and the IPFS file system. The internship lasted for 12 weeks from February 2018 to June 2018.

Ruben Lassau-Strauven completed their Bachelor's degree in Applied computer science from Hogeschool PXL, which they attended from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, they obtained their high school degree in Electronics from Scholengroep Domein Speelhof, where they studied from 2012 to 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Ruben has obtained various certifications. In September 2019, they received certifications in Reactive Architecture, including Building Scalable Systems, CQRS & Event Sourcing, Distributed Messaging Patterns, Reactive Microservices, and Domain Driven Design. Ruben also obtained an Introduction to Reactive Systems certification in July 2019. Additionally, Ruben received a Scrum Master Certified (SMC) certification from the International Scrum Institute™ in April 2019 and a Spring Professional v5.0 certification from Pivotal Software, Inc. in February 2019.
