Kim Smith

Kim Smith is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and adjunct faculty for the Roseburg Family Medicine Residency Program who works with mental health patients to assist them in finding their best life. Kim knows anyone can have a better quality of emotional and mental health if given the right tools. She believes in working alongside to help patients move forward.

Kim has worked at Aviva Health as a patient advocate/behavioral health coach for three years while garnering her licensing hours for the State of Oregon. She has been licensed in Oregon since 2017 and works with individuals 9 and up, couples, and as a group facilitator.

Kim is certified by IATP in trauma, trained in grief therapy, pain reduction through behavioral therapy, DBT, Art Therapy and Mindfulness and is a member of the AACC. She completed her graduate thesis in Art Therapy in Treatment of Trauma Survivors and believes in using art to help unlock trauma from the mind and emotions.

Kim holds a BA in Psychology, and an MA in Community Counseling from Northwest Christian University in Eugene, OR (now Bushnell University).
