Walter Rivas

Walter Rivas has a strong background in the culinary industry, with experience in various roles and organizations. Walter currently works as the Corporate Executive Chef at Avocados From Mexico since May 2023. Prior to this role, Walter held positions at On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, where they worked as an Innovation Chef and Manager of Culinary Innovation from August 2019 to May 2023. Walter also served as a Chef instructor at Woven Health Clinic from February 2019 to April 2021. Walter has extensive experience as a Chef instructor at the North Texas Food Bank from March 2014 to April 2021. In addition, they worked at HCA as an Executive Chef from August 2017 to August 2019, and as a Food and Nutrition Supervisor from January 2017 to August 2017, and from April 2016 to January 2017. Prior to this, Walter worked as a Cook at ARAMARK Refreshment Services from September 2014 to March 2016. Walter also served as a Shift Manager at Mckaren from September 2012 to August 2015, and as a Banquet Chef at Brookdale from April 2013 to August 2014.

Walter Rivas pursued their education in the field of Culinary Arts/ Chef Training at the Remington College-Dallas Campus from 2012 to 2014. Walter then continued to further their studies at Texas Woman's University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Culinary Science/Culinology from 2014 to 2016.
