Luke DeBruin is an experienced engineer with a solid background in mechanical engineering and automotive specialization. Currently serving as an Extrusion Engineer at IC3D Printers since June 2017, Luke also holds the position of Modeling Engineer at Avotronics Powertrain, where responsibilities include modeling and controls development in MATLAB Simulink for hybrid transmission prototypes, alongside conducting electric dyno testing and data acquisition. Previously, Luke worked as a Research Assistant at The Ohio State University Center for Automotive Research from June 2012 to July 2016, contributing to honors undergraduate and MS research. Additional experience includes an internship in product development at Chrysler Group LLC focusing on engine systems and thermal management, a farmer support program internship at Organic Valley, a lab technician role at OSU ISE Machine Shop, and a quality control co-op at Ariel Corporation. Luke earned a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with an automotive specialization and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
