Kevin Nowland

Kevin Nowland has a diverse work experience, beginning with their role as Math Department Grader, Mentor, and Tutor at Pomona College from 2008 to 2010. Kevin then went on to become a USRP Summer Student at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory from 2010 to 2011. From 2013 to 2018, they were a Graduate Teaching Associate and Graduate Research Associate at The Ohio State University, where they taught recitation sections for single and multi-variable calculus classes and received a 2014-2015 Distinguished First-Year Graduate Teaching Associate Award from the Department of Mathematics. In 2017, they were a Data Science Intern at CoverMyMeds, and in 2018 they became a Senior Data Scientist at the same company. In 2020, they took on two roles at The Erdős Institute: Head of Alumni Led Programming and Head of Alumni Relations. Currently, they are an ML Ops Engineer at Aware.

Kevin Nowland received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics (major) and Spanish (minor) from Pomona College in 2011. Kevin then went on to receive a Master of Arts in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Princeton University in 2013. Finally, they earned their PhD in Mathematics from The Ohio State University in 2018.
