Mark Westphal, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, MHCS has a diverse and extensive work experience in various leadership roles. Mark is currently the Vice President of Human Resources at AWP Safety, where they have successfully implemented organizational design changes and talent assessment processes. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of Talent at AWP Safety, where they led the transformation of executive-level talent and implemented a frontline staffing model.
Before joining AWP Safety, Westphal worked at Frontier Communications as the Vice President of Talent Acquisition, overseeing the enterprise talent acquisition function and strategic talent programs. Mark also held the position of Director of Talent Acquisition at Adtalem Global Education, where they advised senior executives on talent acquisition needs.
At U.S. Cellular, Westphal served as the Director of Talent Acquisition and later as the Director of Human Resources Talent Solutions. Mark led teams responsible for talent acquisition, staffing programs, operations, and talent partnerships.
Earlier in their career, Westphal was the Director of National Telesales and Alternate Distribution at U.S. Cellular and AT&T (formerly Cingular). Mark was responsible for launching new sales channels and exceeding sales and revenue targets.
Prior to that, Westphal served as the General Manager and Market Manager at MTPCS, LLC DBA Cellular One, where they successfully managed field sales, customer service, and support functions.

Mark Westphal has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University, obtained between 1994 and 1996. Mark also holds a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts with a focus on Economics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, obtained between 1988 and 1992. Furthermore, Mark has several additional certifications including a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM, obtained in March 2015, a Master Human Capital Strategist from the Human Capital Institute (HCI) obtained in 2009, and a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute (HRCI) obtained in December 2009.
