Andrew MacFarlane

Andrew MacFarlane is a highly experienced actuary with a career spanning over two decades. Currently serving as Chief Actuary at AXA XL and XL Catlin Re Bermuda since September 2018 and 2015 respectively, Andrew has been with XL Catlin since 2004, focusing on casualty treaty reinsurance pricing, reserving for multiple lines of business, and business planning. Prior experience includes a role as Actuary at Catlin from 2003 to 2015, involving pricing, reserving, capital modeling, and systems design. Andrew began the career as an Actuarial Analyst at Equitas and holds a BSc in Actuarial Science and Statistics from WITS University, along with a Fellowship from the Faculty of Actuaries since 2006.
