Mark Appleton is currently the Head of Energy Liability for the UK & Lloyd's at AXA XL, a division of AXA, a position held since 2022. Previously, Mark served as the Head of Marine Liability at Hamilton Insurance Group from 2016 to 2019, and has held various underwriting roles throughout their career, including at The Navigators Group, Inc. and Shipowners' P&I Club. Mark began their career as an Underwriter at Liverpool & London P&I Club and was educated at the University of Southampton, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics & Actuarial Studies.
