Tabitha Oman

Tabitha Oman is the Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Axalta. Tabitha has been with Axalta since July 2014 and in their current role since March 2022.

In their role as Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer, Tabitha is responsible for leading compliance, corporate affairs and sustainability at Axalta. Tabitha advises the Board of Directors on compliance issues and reports quarterly on key developments and priorities to the Audit Committee and the Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Committees. Tabitha also manages Axalta's global compliance program addressing anticorruption, antitrust, trade/sanctions, data privacy and other regulatory issues with a team of 10 compliance professionals and lawyers. In addition, Tabitha leads the cross-functional, cross-business Environmental, Social and Governance Steering Committee with a mandate of sustainability goal setting, stakeholder reporting and corporate social responsibility programming. Tabitha also oversees the 15 person, $8M Corporate Affairs function including crisis management, government affairs, internal and external communications.

Tabitha is the founder and Executive Sponsor of the Axalta Women’s Network. Tabitha also served as interim General Counsel from December 2018 to July 2019.

Tabitha Oman earned their Doctor of Law (JD) with Honors from The George Washington University Law School. Tabitha also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from the University of Colorado Boulder. In addition, Tabitha has a Certificate in Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School Online.
