Catherine Sohn, Pharm.D., has held various roles throughout their career. Catherine served as a Board Member for Jazz Pharmaceuticals starting in 2012, and they currently hold the same position at Maze Therapeutics and Altimmune, Inc. In 2019, they became a Founding Member of Extraordinary Women on Boards (EWOB) and also joined Axcella as a Board Member. Additionally, they have served as a Board Director for BioEclipse Therapeutics, Inc. since 2016 and as an Adjunct Professor at UCSF since 2016. Catherine is also the President of Sohn Health Strategies, LLC, a role they have held since 2011. More recently, they became a Senior Advisor to the CEO at Toivoa in 2022. Furthermore, Catherine served as a Board Director for Landec (now Lifecore Biomedical) since 2012.

Catherine Sohn, Pharm.D. obtained their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in Clinical Pharmacy from the University of California, San Francisco in 1977. Catherine also completed a residency in Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy at the same institution, although the exact dates are not provided. In 1971-1973, they attended the University of California, Davis, but the degree obtained is unspecified.

Throughout their career, Catherine has pursued additional certifications and professional development opportunities. In 2006, they obtained a Certificate of Professional Development from The Wharton School. Later, in 2008, they became a Certified Licensing Professional (C.L.P.) through Certified Licensing Professionals, Inc. In recent years, Catherine has focused on business education and corporate governance. Catherine acquired a Corporate Directors Certificate from Harvard Business School in 2022. Prior to that, in 2021, they completed the ESG: Navigating the Board's Role program offered by Berkeley Law Executive Education. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to staying updated on current industry practices and emerging trends.
