Hovhannes Grigoryan

Hovhannes Grigoryan has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Hovhannes started their career as a Software Engineer at Inecobank CJSC in 2005 before joining Synopsys as an R&D Software Engineer II in 2007. At Synopsys, they worked on developing Cross-Platform Application Frameworks and ICWB family products. In 2010, they moved to CQG as a Software Engineer and later became a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Team Lead, responsible for delivering critical exchange connectivity components.

In 2012, Hovhannes joined Questrade Financial Group as an Engineering Team Lead, where they developed online trading applications and managed cross-functional agile teams. Hovhannes later became an Engineering Manager, overseeing the development of customer-facing products and leading the cloud transformation strategy.

In 2020, Hovhannes joined Picsart as a Senior Engineering Manager, being responsible for the engineering team and later became an Engineering Director. At Picsart, they contributed to the world's leading creative platform and social editing app, managing a large community of creators and developing open-source content.

In 2022, Hovhannes became a Co-Founder and CTO of COSMO, where they played a crucial role in the company's establishment and technology development. Additionally, they served as an Advisor before transitioning to their current role as Senior Director of Engineering at Axcient, starting in 2023.

Throughout their career, Hovhannes has gained expertise in software engineering, technical leadership, team management, and product development.

Hovhannes Grigoryan holds a Master of Science degree in Informatics and Applied Mathematics from Yerevan State University, acquired from 2007 to 2009. Hovhannes also obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Informatics and Applied Mathematics from the same university, completed from 2003 to 2007. Additionally, they have recently completed two professional development programs, namely "Leading Change: Executive Program for Business Managers" from Matena International School of Leadership and Professional Development and "Change Management: Professional Development Program for Managers" from Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO in 2022.
