Artificial Intelligence Lead at Axem Neurotechnology

Muhammad AZAM has a diverse work experience in the field of artificial intelligence and data science. Muhammad'smost recent role is as an Artificial Intelligence Lead at Axem Neurotechnology, starting in May 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow/Lead Data Scientist at Polytechnique Montréal from March 2022 to November 2022. Before that, they were a Postdoctoral Fellow/Senior AI Researcher at Concordia University from April 2020 to March 2022. Muhammad also served as a Principal Data Scientist at BrainBox AI from November 2018 to April 2020. Muhammad first started their professional journey as a Graduate Research Assistant at Concordia University in June 2012, where they contributed to the development of advanced unsupervised learning algorithms and frameworks for speech and image processing. Muhammad also worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and a volunteer PhD Student Mentor during their time at Concordia University. Previously, Muhammad worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Blekinge Institute of Technology from April 2009 to November 2011.

Before moving to research and academia, Muhammad AZAM started their career as a Lecturer at Mirpur University of Science & Technology from September 2007 to April 2009, where they taught courses on digital signal processing, communication systems, basic electrical engineering, and electronic devices and circuits.

Muhammad AZAM's early professional experience includes working as a Microwave Transmission Engineer at Huawei from September 2006 to September 2007. In this role, they were involved in technical support, transmission planning, commissioning, integration, optimization, and operation & maintenance for microwave projects with operators and vendors.

Muhammad AZAM has a diverse educational background in the field of electrical and computer engineering, with a strong focus on machine learning. Muhammad obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering (Machine Learning) from Concordia University in 2019. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering (Signal Processing) from Blekinge Institute of Technology, during the period of 2009 to 2011.

Muhammad AZAM's undergraduate education was completed at the University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Electronics and Telecommunication from 2002 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Muhammad AZAM has actively pursued additional certifications and professional development opportunities. Muhammad has completed multiple online courses and certification programs, including a Quebec Certificate for Scientific Entrepreneurship (QCSE) from Concordia University in 2020. Muhammad has also completed various courses related to machine learning, deep learning, data science, and reinforcement learning, offered by institutions such as Coursera, IBM, Kaggle, edX, and deeplearning.ai. Muhammad AZAM has demonstrated a strong commitment to continuously enhancing their knowledge and skills in the field of machine learning.
