Ricardo Rendon Cepeda is an accomplished technology leader with a focus on artificial intelligence (AI) and information and communication technology (ICT). Currently serving as ICT Team Lead at the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) since October 2021, Ricardo advances technology strategy to support the organization's mission and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) while leading a multi-skilled team. Recently appointed Subgroup Lead for the HLCM Task Force on AI within the United Nations, Ricardo aims to create a cohesive framework for AI adoption across the UN system. Previous experience includes a role as a software engineering author at Apple, leading initiatives in mobile app development and UX design at Idean, and internships focused on technology policy and corporate sustainability. Ricardo holds an MBA from Georgetown University, a Master's in Advanced Computing from the University of Bristol, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Birmingham.
