M.D. Atiqul Islam

Md. Atiqul Islam, with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Rajshahi University of Engineering & Technology, has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry. Currently serving as Senior General Manager at Robi Axiata Limited since January 2019, Md. Atiqul leads teams focused on mobile networks and service management, ensuring optimal network performance and strategic alignment. Previous roles include positions as Chartered Engineer at Banglalink and Senior Lead Engineer at Grameenphone Ltd., with significant contributions in network design, optimization, and service assurance. Md. Atiqul has also been involved in high-profile projects for 2G, 3G, and 4G network rollouts, network capacity enhancement, and various green technology solutions. In addition, Md. Atiqul is a member of Axiata’s Collective Brain RAN Strategy for Robi Axiata OpCo.
