Rusty Powell

Rusty Powell currently serves as Vice President of Engineering at Axient and has held the title of VP and General Manager for Space Development and Integration. Powell is an adjunct faculty member at Colorado Christian University, teaching various engineering courses. Previous roles include Executive Director and Chief Engineer at Millennium Engineering and Integration, and a significant tenure at the US Air Force Academy, where contributions included curriculum management and course instruction for numerous engineering subjects. Additional experience encompasses policy and program oversight within the Office of the Secretary of Defense and leadership positions across various organizations within the U.S. Air Force. Rusty Powell holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, an MS in Aeronautical Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University.
