Matthew Milanese

Matthew Milanese is a Flight Operations Engineer at Axiom Space since July 2022, with previous experience as a Flight Controller at Cimarron from July 2015 to July 2022. Prior to that, Matthew was a Project Manager at the University of Colorado Boulder, where responsibilities included developing environmental control and life support system testing infrastructure and automating experiments. Matthew also served as a Graduate Research Assistant, contributing to UAV-based research and programming in LabVIEW. A brief internship at Applied Defense Solutions involved software programming for satellite simulation, and early in his career, Matthew mentored children through an AmeriCorps program. Matthew holds a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering (Bioastronautics) from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Aerospace Engineering from West Virginia University.
