Thomas McGrath has worked in various roles in the medical device industry. Thomas started their career at Covidien (formerly Maya Medical) as a Development Engineer, where they led a project to design custom irrigation tubing and developed pressure sensing methods for the OneShot Renal Denervation System. Thomas then moved to Shifamed, an incubator for medical startups, where they worked as an R&D Engineer. In this role, they created a prototype for a smart biopsy needle for pulmonary tissue identification and sampling. Thomas collaborated with cross-functional teams to utilize existing resources, reducing costs and delivery times. McGrath then joined Apama Medical, first as an R&D Engineer and later as a Senior R&D Engineer. Finally, they currently serve as an Engineering Manager at Axon Therapies Inc.
