Douglas Sherk

Douglas Sherk is an experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer II at Axon since February 2021, where the focus is on building a machine learning platform for edge devices. In addition, Douglas serves as a mentor for machine learning engineering at Springboard, assisting dedicated students with technical, career, and life-related inquiries. Prior to these positions, Douglas was the CTO at Passenger AI, a startup dedicated to AI software for self-driving cars, and worked as a Machine Learning Engineer at Datastronomy, specializing in scalable machine learning models. Douglas has held multiple roles at Mozilla Corporation, including tech lead for a new phone operating system and the Dialer app within Firefox OS. Earlier career experiences include co-founding SciGit and interning at Zynga, contributing to significant revenue generation during the peak of FarmVille. Douglas holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology, a Mechatronics degree from the University of Waterloo, and a Data Science certificate from Harvard Extension School.
