Jillian Smolinski

Jillian Smolinski has held various roles throughout their work experience. Jillian started their career in 2001 as a NeXT Correspondent for The Buffalo News. From 2001 to 2006, they owned, edited, wrote, and photographed for OveratedMag.com, where they conducted interviews, reviewed albums and concerts, and managed relationships with record companies and publicists. In 2003, they also worked as an On-Air Talent and later as Music Director and Underwriting Director at WBNY 91.3 FM, where they coordinated in-studio sets and guest DJ appearances. Jillian then worked as a Freelance Writer from 2001 to 2009, specializing as a Buffalo Music Examiner for Examiner.com. In 2011, they became a Community Content Provider at WGRZ, where they served as a music critic for 2 Your Town. Jillian then joined Time Warner Cable in 2012 as a Contributing Writer. Currently, they hold the same position at AXS.com, starting in 2014.

Jillian Smolinski attended the State University of New York College at Buffalo from 2003 to 2007, pursuing a degree in Communications / Creative Studies.
