Zhi-Fan Zhang

Dr. Zhang joined AXT in 2013 as Vice President of Business Development, Strategic Sales and Marketing with responsibility for AXT’s commercial activities in Asia and strategic commercial partnerships globally. Prior to joining AXT, Dr. Zhang was Senior Business Development Manager at Veeco Instruments Inc., an innovative manufacturer of semiconductor process equipment from 2010 to 2013. Before joining Veeco Instruments, Dr. Zhang held various engineering and marketing positions with increasing responsibility at Novellus Systems (acquired by Lam Research), Applied Materials and Michelin North America R&D Corp.

Dr. Zhang holds an Master of Science degree in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Washington, Seattle and a Ph.D. in Material Science & Engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
