Tarek Saleh

One of the firm’s senior design leaders, Tarek has always taken inspiration from the world of automotive design as both a hobby and a passion. Growing up in Lebanon, his love for cars helped him to develop a keen eye for proportion, scale, and massing. After moving to the U.S. in 2002 and earning his masters from Morgan State University, he is now an associate principal with 20 years of experience working on a wide variety of project types, including higher education and mixed-use developments.

Tarek’s approach to design is driven by functionality and sustainable urban responses with a strong emphasis and appreciation for craftsmanship. His design philosophy is one of inclusivity and collaboration and his work incorporates bold material expressions while still respecting the local context.

Some of Tarek’s notable projects include Point 225 in Providence, Rhode Island, the British International School of Riyadh, the Elon School of Engineering and Physics, and work at his alma mater, Morgan State University. Outside of the office, Tarek has served as an adjunct professor in the School of Architecture at Morgan State and has served on the board of the Baltimore chapter of the ACE Mentorship Program since 2020.
