Sevda Aliyeva

Sevda Aliyeva has a diverse work experience spanning over the past decade. Sevda currently holds the position of Director International Markets and Business Events at Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) since October 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Azerbaijan Convention Bureau within the same organization from August 2018 to October 2022. In this role, Sevda was responsible for implementing the strategy for business events industry development in Azerbaijan, leading the organization, building partnerships, and integrating sales and marketing strategies.

Before joining ATB, Sevda worked as the Executive Director at Baku Convention Bureau in 2017 and held a role in the Incoming and MICE Department at PASHA Travel LLC during the same year. From 2013 to 2017, they served as a Leading Expert in International Relations at the State Agency on Alternative & Renewable Energy Sources in the Republic of Azerbaijan. Earlier in their career, they gained experience as a Sales and Marketing Manager at KHAZAR CONSULTING from 2011 to 2013, and as a Sales and Marketing Manager Assistant at MBASK Insurance in 2010.

Sevda Aliyeva began their professional journey as a Trainee at Excelsior Hotel Baku in 2008. Overall, their work experience reflects a combination of leadership, strategic planning, business development, and international relations expertise.

Sevda Aliyeva's education history begins in 2007 when they enrolled in Azerbaijan University of Tourism & Management for their Bachelor's degree in Management. Sevda completed this program in 2012. In the same year, they also started studying at IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Business with a specialization in Tourism and Leisure Management. Sevda completed this degree in 2012 as well.

In 2016, Sevda Aliyeva pursued a Master's degree in International Tourism at Azerbaijan University of Tourism & Management. Sevda completed this program in 2018.

Currently, from 2021 to 2023, Sevda Aliyeva is pursuing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at Edinburgh Business School, Heriot-Watt University. The field of study for this program is not specified.
