Aniello Pappalardo

Aniello Pappalardo is an experienced cardiovascular surgeon currently serving as the Director of the Cardiac Surgery Unit at Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria di Trieste since January 2010. Previously, Aniello Pappalardo held the position of Director of the Clinical Perioperative Cardiac Surgery Unit from 2003 to 2009, and worked as a cardiac surgeon from 1980 to 2002 in the same institution. Additionally, Aniello Pappalardo contributed as a Researcher at the Istituto Fisiologia Clinica del CNR between 1999 and 2001, focusing on the development of an electronic clinical record system. Education includes a specialization in Cardiac Surgery from the University of Bologna, a specialization in General Surgery from the University of Parma, and a degree in Medicine from Padova. Aniello Pappalardo also gained international experience as a Special Fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 1985-1986.
