Alexandre Plaza

Alexandre Plaza, P.E., P.Eng. is a Senior Project Engineer at AZTEC Engineering Group, Inc. since February 2017, with notable experience as Tunnel Design Lead and Engineer of Record for the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension project in Toronto from 2020 to 2022. Previously, Alexandre served as a Geotechnical Designer, providing technical support for the Joint Water Pollution Control Plant Effluent Outfall Tunnel project in Los Angeles in 2018. From 2005 to 2017, Alexandre held multiple positions at TYPSA, including Staff Engineer in the Geotechnics Department, working on the Riyadh Metro Project, and as a Staff Engineer in the Hydraulics Department, contributing to Flood Risk Management Plans in Spain. Alexandre holds a Master of Science in Geological Engineering from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and completed a Master Course in Tunnels and Underground Works at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid & AETOS.
