Khashayar Barooti

Khashayar Barooti is a cryptographer currently working at Aztec since October 2023. Prior to this role, Khashayar was a PhD candidate at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) from September 2018 to October 2023, where a Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science was obtained. Khashayar also served as a visiting researcher at the Max Planck Society in late 2022, collaborating with Prof. Giulio Malavolta on quantum cryptography projects. Khashayar's academic journey began at the University of Tehran, where a Bachelor's degree in Computational and Applied Mathematics was earned from September 2014 to August 2018.
