What do we do?

Azure Summit Technology provides a wide range of multi-channel, software-defined radio solutions for applications including surveillance, communications, radar, direction finding, emitter location, and interference cancellation. Systems can be tailored to meet a variety of requirements for bandwidth, dynamic range, number of channels, and computational resources. Supported platforms range from resource-constrained small UAVs and wearable devices to manned aircraft and submarines. Azure also offers innovative signal processing solutions to challenging problems in the realm of radio frequency spectrum awareness.

What will you do?

Azure Summit Technology is currently seeking an Electronics Technician. The selected candidate will be part of a dynamic, growing, cross-functional, and geographically distributed team. The position is based on-site at our Melbourne, Florida, office with occasional travel to Fairfax, Virginia, and other locations as required. Your future team has worked together to produce the following job description:
The selected candidate will be responsible for test, fabrication, assembly, inspection, debugging, rework, and evaluation of complex RF and digital circuit boards and assemblies. The candidate will be instrumental in the testing, debugging, and rework of products during pre-delivery integration, acceptance test, and delivery phases of the product life cycle. Duties will include, but not be limited to, testing designs, and troubleshooting hardware problems; reading and writing schematics; laying out and fabricating electronics; and testing chassis to support engineering designs. The successful candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, take initiative, and work well with internal and external customers.

Basic Requirements

  • US citizenship, due to nature of the work and contract requirement

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance, due to contract requirement

  • Minimum 5 years hands-on experience as an electronics technician with specific RF experience

  • Ability to lift and carry 25-45 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • TOP SECRET/SCI clearance

  • Associates of Science degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent

  • Experience with hand soldering of fine pitch surface-mount parts

  • Ability to perform quality inspection of PCBs to IPC-A610 standard

  • IPC-A610 certification

  • Experience with electronic systems test and evaluation

  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend detailed written and verbal instructions, assembly instructions, test procedures, schematics, and other engineering documentation

  • Experience using multimeters, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and oscilloscopes

  • Working knowledge of radiofrequency or electronic warfare

  • Experience troubleshooting RF and digital circuitry

  • Strong attention to detail
