Shawn Beharrilall

Shawn Beharrilall has a strong background in operations and project management in the scientific and biotech industries. Shawn currently holds the position of Senior Director, Operations at Azzur Group since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Senior Operations Product Leader, where they led production readiness for late stage and commercial manufacturing of Cell and Gene Therapy products. Shawn also served as a Manager, Operations Project Leader for Viral Vector Services at Thermo Fisher Scientific, overseeing client product production flow and establishing key performance indicators.

Before joining Thermo Fisher Scientific, Shawn worked at WuXi AppTec for several years in various roles, including QC Testing Manager and Virology Operations Manager. Shawn was responsible for capacity planning, supply chain management, scheduling, process improvements, and training program development.

Earlier in their career, Shawn worked at Charles River Laboratories as a Supervisor Molecular and at Zeptometrix Corp. as a Supervisor Virology. Shawn began their professional journey as a Summer Engineer at RCM Technologies.

Shawn Beharrilall holds a BSc Honors degree in Biotechnology from the University of Windsor.
