Dr. Franziska Rathjens

Dr. Franziska Rathjens is an experienced professional in the fields of pharmacovigilance and patient safety, currently serving as Director of Global Pharmacovigilance & Patient Safety and Deputy QPPV at B. Braun Gruppe since November 2019. Previously, Dr. Rathjens held roles, including Head of Business Process Management & Pharmacovigilance Tools at B. Braun and was involved in academic research as a PhD student at the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology at University Medical Centre Göttingen, focusing on the molecular mechanisms of TBX5 related conduction disorders. Dr. Rathjens has also worked in various pharmacy positions, including Apothekerin at Apotheke Im Kaufpark and Palmen Apotheke, and completed internships at Bayer Pharmaceuticals and Staggenborg Die Apotheke. Dr. Rathjens holds a Master of Science in Molecular Medicine from the University of Göttingen and a Staatsexamen in Pharmacy from the University of Münster.
