Austin Duke

Austin Duke, PhD currently leads venture capital investments for UnityPointHealth Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm for UnityPoint Health.

Austin brings more than ten years of biomedical research and developmentexperience along with a deep understanding of the opportunities andchallenges presented to startup companies. Prior to joining UnityPoint HealthVentures, Austin served as Chief Science Officer at Nexeon MedSystems Inc,where he led scientific, clinical and regulatory activities in support of thedevelopment and commercialization of Nexeons’ neurostimulation technologyplatforms. Prior to Nexeon, Austin served as Vice President of EmergingTherapies at Rosellini Scientific and co-founded Nuviant Medical. Austinobtained his PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Vanderbilt University and hisB.S. in Biomedical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Austinrepresents UnityPoint Health Ventures as a board member for b.wellConnected Health, Pathware, and Kaizen Health. Austin also volunteers as aboard member of the Mid-America Healthcare Investors Network (MHIN).
